Mounted on centre lathes, capstans, turrets or like machine tools. TACO' self operating die-heads are used for cutting threads and are most suitable for heavy duty work and mass production. Die-heads open automatically when the selected thread length is reached eliminating the necessity of reversal of the direction or working spindle.

These die-heads are also recommended for large runsof stay bolts, adjusting screws, etc.

Normally 'TACO' die-heads are supplied with a straight shank. The shank is held in position by three screws, andtherefore one form of flanged shank, such as morse taper shank or other type of special shank can be fitted to suit a particular machine.
