Tandem cylinders have two pistons working in two different chambers but are connected by a common piston rod. The air is supplied to both the chambers simultaneously. Thus the tandem air cylinders are able to achieve twice the draw bar pull compared to the single chamber cylinder.

Almost all the components in these cylinder are made of light weight, high strength aluminium alloy, except for the pistons and the piston rod which are made of alloy steel.

These cylinders are ideal for machines where hydraulic systems are not available.
