These chucks have been specially developed for secondary operations of components where the perpendicularity has to be maintained with reference to the pre-machined sureface. These rigidly constructed chucks, are exceptionally ideal for machining work pieces such as engine blocks, gear box, pumps compressor and turbine housings, automobile components, connecting rods etc.

The face clamping jaws are mounted on a compensating spider to accommodate any irregularities that may exist on the clamping surface. It averages out the errors of primary operations for improved quality. Either a pneumatic or a hyrdaulic cylinder can activate this chuck. While the chuck mounting details on the machine spindle, the weight, clamping and overhand details depend upon the component to be machined.
